線上英語教學節目對於台灣英語學習者在聽力理解、閱讀測驗及單字量的影響

現行多媒體輔助英語教學研究主要著重在演說類節目如TED，以及教學網站如VoiceTube等。但很少學者針對線上英語教學節目「空中英語教室」對英語聆聽能力、閱讀測驗和單字量方面進行研究。因此，本論文旨在研究線上英語學習影片「空中英語教室」之於中華民國大專學生在英語聆聽能力、閱讀測驗和單字量之間的關聯。「空中英語教室」節目包含一本每月出刊之雜誌，以及每日可在網路上免費收看及收聽平均25分鐘之電視以及廣播節目。節目內容以每日生活當中於世界各地所發生的故事及活動66為主。本研究參與的九十九位學生係來自於中華民國中部二所私立大專之二組、四個班級的大一英文學生，A大學的學生每週觀看「空中英語教室」 節目
一次，而B大學的學生每週觀看兩次「空中英語教室」節目，研究時程為完整的十八週。另二組學生亦依前測成績分成高分組及低分組。本論文的研究工具包含一份由作者和授課者共同設計的英語學習調查問卷，以及二份由牛津大學出版社出版，並由 ETS 認証的多益模擬測驗和紐西蘭惠靈頓維多利亞大學出版的單字量測驗，以期了解學生們在英語聆聽能力、閱讀測驗、以及單字量之間的關聯。問卷結果顯示全體學生的平均英語學習時間為十二年半，而百分之九十的學生曾經上過兒童美語課程。後測結果顯示，兩組的學生不只在英語聆聽能力和閱讀測驗有顯著進步，在單字量部分亦存在著顯著差異。同時，英語聽力表現較好的學生，其在單字測驗上的表現亦較優。此外

本研究旨在探討透過應用Wordwall平台對於提升臺灣小四學童英語字彙及文法學習之成效與影響。本研究以新北市某公立國小三十八位四年級學生為研究對象，每週三十五分鐘，共為期十五週。二十位學生為實驗組，透過應用Wordwall平台進行英語字彙及文法練習；十八位學生為對照組，透過學習單進行英語字彙及文法練習。研究工具包含(1)英語字彙及文法前測與後測，透過成對樣本t檢定與獨立樣本t檢定，以檢驗學生英語字彙及文法的學習表現是否有明顯進步，並進一步分析兩組的表現差異；以及(2)學生學習回饋問卷，透過計算平均分數與百分比，以了解實驗組學生對於應用Wordwall平台學習英語的看法與態度。
研究結果顯示，兩組在整體英語字彙及文法的學習表現皆有明顯進步。實驗組在英語識字與拼字方面皆有明顯進步，而對照組僅在英語拼字方面有明顯進步。然而，兩組在英語文法方面皆未達到顯著進步。儘管實驗組在英語字彙及文法後測各方面之分數皆高於對照組，但兩組的表現並未達到顯著差異。此外，大部分實驗組的學生對於應用Wordwall平台學習英語給予高度正向回饋。整體而言，應用Wordwall平台對於學生的英語字彙及文法學習與學生的學習動機有著正向的影響。最後，根據研究結果提出些許建議，以供英語教學應用與未來研究方向作為參考。
