汽車排氣系統主要是用來將引擎經動力行程所產生的高溫廢氣淨化並排出,若排氣系統本身的自然頻率與引擎的怠速頻率相吻合,此時會出現共振現象,造成車內振動及產生噪音,嚴重的振動還可能導致排氣系統的損壞。基於以上種種因素,本研究主要針對引擎與排氣系統間的共振來作探討,暫不考慮其他來自路面因素所導致的振動,並依據2006年生產的TOYOTA Camry汽車副廠排氣系統作為研究物件。文中首先進行模態實驗與有限元素分析,分別取得其自然頻率與模態振型進行模型比對,並依其比對結果來變更有限元素模型的參數設定值,以確保有限元素分析與實際情形相符,進而完成有限元素模型更新。由於車體與排氣系統間設有支撐架與吊耳連接,

吊耳除了承受排氣管的重量外,也能穩定排氣系統,使其不會因行駛而造成劇烈晃動。因此本文以更新完成之模型作為基底,依據排氣系統實際架設於車體的情形給予其邊界限制條件,並透過等效彈簧來簡化結構較為複雜之橡膠吊耳模型。最後設計變更與調整吊耳的懸掛位置,使其能避開共振頻率,降低引擎運轉時與排氣系統間產生共振的機率,達成吊耳位置最佳化設計的目的。經上述實驗得知更新後之模態平均誤差量為1.303%,且吊耳位置最佳化後會發生共振的模態減少為兩個,研究結果顯示,本文成功完成排氣系統之有限元素模型更新,並透過吊耳位置的最佳化設計改善了共振現象的生成。
